BISHOP C. EVERTON THOMAS 

PRESIDING PRELATE EMMANUEL APOSTOLIC CHURCH

Some may know him as “Bishop”, others as a cutting edge leader, a singer, songwriter, musician, and businessman, still others a beloved father, brother, uncle and faithful Pastor.  No matter your point of reference, Bishop Everton Thomas is well known throughout Jamaica, and in several countries around the world including Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, USA and the Caribbean.  He was born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 18, 1956 and is the fifth of nine children born to Bishop S.U. and Joyce Thomas.

He attended Calabar High School and C.A.S.T (now UTECH), but God called Bishop Thomas into the ministry at the tender age of seventeen so he began his preparations by studying at the Caribbean Bible Institute.  He subsequently lived in the USA and this and other experiences nurtured his unique call to the ministry of reconciliation.  He transcends tradition in his delivery of the gospel, and is able to reach diverse people of various backgrounds, cultures, and denominations.

On returning from the USA in 1988, he soon became the assistant Pastor for the Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 12 Slipe Road, then pioneered the fast-growing branch in Portmore.  Today he pastors both assemblies and also serves as the Presiding Prelate of the organization. Bishop Thomas has served as the chairman of Love FM, LOVE TV, chairman of the Jamaica Pentecostal Union-Apostolic (JPU(A), Portmore Ministers Fraternal and several other boards.  He sat on the board of seven leaders who met with and gave spiritual guidance to the Prime Ministers of Jamaica of both political parties as well as the opposition leaders.

Bishop Everton Thomas is married to Jillian for thirty six (36) years and they are the proud parents of Brandon and Tiffany, and grandparents of Sebi (Sebastian, Brandon and Sarue's son.
